Corporations are seizing the opportunity to use the iPad in the workplace and real key to leveraging it most effectively is creating applications that deliver value. We have worked with some of the biggest companies in the world helping them with their iPad app development efforts to create applications that eliminate expense, increase productivity and improve customer relations.

Our experience with iPad app development for customers ranges from the boardroom to the front line. We developed an application designed to support their Board of Directors that delivers meeting content on the iPad eliminating massive printing expenses and making meeting attendance much easier for the attendees with just the slim iPad under theirs arms instead of an armload of binders. On the front line we developed an application that was intended for use by the attendees of a large telecom customer’s trade show. The application provided maps of the show, points of interest, company information and a host of other features that made show attendance a richer experience. Augmented Reality at work!

These two examples are just a small subset of iPad applications we have developed. Contact us today to see how we can assist you with your iPad application development requirements.

As you can see from the below flash motion animation we can send the same content to various platform, including the rapidly growing mobile platforms. Development costs can be high to develop applications and the cost of maintaining them can also be significant. If you can build the mobile application as a shell of sorts and send the content from a central server then you can define and create you message in one place and serve it to the entire mobile marketplace.

If you can build application for the iPhone, the BlackBerry and for the Android, you can cover the majority of mobile users. In this way, central content control can thus allow you to take a fragmented target group -mobile users – and serve them a consistent message from a central source.

Where does the iPad fit in the technology product landscape? The iPad, at a cost of $500-$800 cannot replace netbooks at a cost of approx $200. The iPad can’t really replace a laptop either even though they are priced similarly, a laptop has an almost unlimited accessory set, full keyboards and can really do more than an iPad. So if they are not replacing laptops and/or netbooks then who is buying them? Millions of people in both the consumer sector and the business sector. The iPad is defining a new niche of portable content consumption devices. You can type an email and make notes and use apps but you really can’t create lots of content easily and efficiently (at least not yet!), but you can consume content really, really nicely.

They will show up all over the healthcare industry, being used for survey response, data collection in the field to support studies, as standard equipment for pharma sales people and possibly even in hospital settings. They will show up across industries as a sales tool for showing products and displaying catalog data in a dynamic and visually appealing format. They will be use for taking orders in the field, they will show up in the hands of service technicians and they will even show up in small business as mobile admin and/or tracking tool. These are just a small subset of the applications we have been working with clients to define and deploy.

Have a look at some of the projects we have recently delivered in this space and see some of the amazing ways our customers have found to leverage great value out of this innovative tool. If you need development help or have an app that you want help marketing, then shoot us a note and we’ll see what we can do to help you. We would love to add you to our long list of delighted customers!

Many of our customers have made use of our iPad development services, and we have developed tons of applications for the iPhone and we are also developing for the iPad platform. Recently we developed a navigation and information tool for iPad users who are customers of our client. Our client needed a web based application that allows their customer to navigate at a trade show and find locations and other critical data. Given that their user community has a number of avid iPad users the client felt that an iPad app would be a great tool for the customer base and would help them differentiate themselves from competitors by offering this high value cutting edge service for their trade show.

The iPad application development project was launched and we worked collaboratively on the specifications so that we would have a document that would clearly guide the iPad development effort. The specifications included not only the data display requirements but also took into account some of the cool iPad features that we could exploit within the app. iPad Software Development is a little different that standard software development as some of the hardware features can suggest things the users would want to see.

A great example of this in this iPad development effort is the main display of data that the user sees can be converted into a graph with great visuals just by rotating the phone to a horizontal display. This is a slick use of the iPad feature and offers different views to the user as they examine their data in different ways.

This iPad software development project had the following components;

Application on the iPad with the user interface (login credentials, report variables etc..)

Server side communications to receive the iPad mobile application requests

SQL scripts to interrogate the database

iPad development of code to receive the xml posts of data from the server and hand them to the UI

The result was a slick real time application that automatically refreshes data and presents stunning visuals to the user community. The benefit of this real time application is that it allows users on the move to stay in touch with the changing show data which is dynamic and requires frequent data updates. This business function was a great candidate for iPad Mobile Application Development and was extremely well received by the customer base of our client. A great win all around.

1) Charge for the App.

If you are reading this you might have heard of the young guy who created some silly little iPad app that makes funny sounds and has enjoyed over 500,000 downloads. At 99 cents each he’s a half million dollars and counting. so his stupid little app isn’t so stupid after all is it?

His revenue model is very straight forward – he charged for his app through the App Store. Easy to use and easy to replicate. His success model is the hard part to replicate. His App went viral which means that it spread via word of mouth very rapidly and exceeded any and all expectations. This is a Developer’s dream come true. Every developers envisions his app being hugely popular and everyone wanting it. Some times dreams do come true and you can hit upon a really successful idea. Sometimes dreams need a little nudge or even a huge push to come true. That’s where we can come in. We can assist our customers in pushing the word of mouth along a little faster, and help them create a buzz for their application. Even if we didn’t build it we can help you drive it out to the user community.

Pricing your application is tricky as well – too high and no downloads, too low and you are leaving revenue on the table. We know of one case where downloads actually increased after a price hike. We can help you figure out what your price point should be.

2) Give it away for Free.

Interesting heading in the “how to make money section” isn’t it. as everyone knows in their heart of hearts, there is no Free. Not really. Somebody, somewhere, always pays. So giving the app away for free is really just a technique to drive adoption and usage of the app. So where’s the money? Good questions as there’s a few options. One option is to create your ‘free’ application and embed advertising into ti. you can do this via links, logos, but most commonly it’s through a banner that gets real time content from a server. There are many third party companies that act as a hub for these banners and can offer you one stop shopping for your advertising options.

Another option is to charge a fee elsewhere, such as a membership fee for a website or some related service and then offer the app for free and require a username/password login to get any real useful data through the application. Then the app is free but the content is sold and the app just supports increased content sales.

Another emerging option is to use the application to drive other revenue either via cross selling or through promotional campaign where the app is a small component of a larger campaign.

Another similar model allows for a free application that supports a corporate branding effort. The app is free, but the money is in the corporate promotional budget and eventually shows in consumer pricing.

What’s the best way?
There’s no one correct answer as each application and each company has different goals and the revenue model must fit both of those. We can help you figure it all out – that’s what we are here for.

contact us today and see how we can help you get your application working for you!

The App Store, as it’s named, is the main outlet for the sale and distribution of iPad Applications. They range in price from free to a few dollars to a few hundred dollars with the average price bing about two and half dollars. Of the more than 67,000 applications in the store about 80% of them are free. If you are wondering how a developer can make money from free applications please see our Revenue Models Page. Submitting your application to the App Store for sale or for free distribution is, unfortunately, not simple nor is it intuitive. On the plus side Apple makes many guides and tools available and has several videos to assist you. Nevertheless, wading through all of this sometimes proves too cumbersome and many of our customers have asked us to publish for them. App Store publication is a service we gladly provide and having done it so many times we can do it very rapidly.

If you need some guidance and/or advice about App Store publication you have but to ask. We can help you position your app, categorize it and even price it appropriately. When we look after our customers we do with a commitment to them and the desire to help them succeed. That level of customer care has allowed us to develop many new services.

Once you have successfully uploaded your application to the store and Apple has approved your app your work has only begun. The technical component is finished and if this is a private app for a corporation then you may in fact be almost finished your project. But if this app is a commercial venture intended to drive revenue, then your must now engage in a full scale marketing effort to get your application downloaded and used by the iPad community. If you want the secrets to a successful iPad App and to leveraging the App Store to its fullest potential then you must make sure that the development partner you choose has the combined expertise to not only build your application, but support your efforts to make your application successful. We feel we are that partner you need. We have a tremendous depth of technical skills, but further to that can support a web based campaign to drive downloads of your application. Want to know how we do it? So do our competitors!

The iPad provides an instant connection to the Internet, which makes iPad application development for this portable device virtually the same process as creating a web site or a web application. The iPad’s built-in web browser means easy access to all custom iPad applications. Most basic web sites need little modifications to be appropriately displayed on the iPad screen. However, if you want to tailor your web applications specifically for iPad users then the iPad application development can be done easily with the help of standard web development tools which generate the HTML that the iPad requires. There is also standard iPad interface software available to help with data transfer etc…

Another way to improve your existing web applications and make them iPad friendly is to offer users a modified interface designed specially for the iPad leveraging standard iPad navigation and look and feel. During iPad application development you don’t necessarily need to create your web pages according to the resolution supported by the iPad since it scales pages pretty well.

One of the greatest things you can do to make any web page handier for the iPad users is to make the key elements larger especially those used for input. When something is of the right size to be clicked with a mouse, it may not work well for the fingertip. Elements can be made more attractive and convenient in many other ways. For example, you can help the iPad recognize the phone numbers and make them clickable.

Web applications designed for the iPad typically involve employment of modern high-end technologies such as AJAX or the PHP platform. Since these kind of applications are not by default cross-browser compatible they can freely leverage the Safari-supported CSS styles. Common user interface patterns also tend to be implemented to display standard looking lists that iPad users will find familiar. To implement sophisticated animation techniques when doing iPad application development, the Canvas object can be a good alternative to popular Flash.

The iPad has an amazingly fertile environment for creativity and complete overhaul of the way mobile applications have been built before. The iPad dictates the style and the future of user interfaces. Don’t hesitate to enter the new web applications area, start an iPad application development project today.

We offer our clients top-notch services in every sphere related to iPad development. We can not only professionally perform iPad application development and design and implement software that will work perfectly on this device, but also ensure that the content of your web site is accessible via iPad. We can also modify all your existing applications and make them iPad compatible. What is the benefit of being iPad friendly? Apart from being the one of most popular new devices in the world!, this device is a perfect high-tech base for almost any application, as it supports almost any file type and allows developers to implement cutting edge technologies to build the most complex mobile based software. Don’t forget the iPhone and iTouch as well since most of the apps you develop can be used on those devices too!

So with thousands of web applications already accessible for the iPad on the Internet it’s quite clear that iPad applications development is highly apt for the implementation of business and consumer based applications.

The process of development of iPad software or an iPad applications development effort is pretty much similar to that of building up any Mac OS X application. For both purposes the programmer uses the same tools and many common frameworks. But regardless of the apparent similarities there are also considerable differences in iPad applications development that one should focus on while creating an iPad mobile application.

An iPad lacks some of the features of a computer, but also possesses many features a computer doesn’t have (when was the last time you shook your computer like crazy – on purpose!) thus it requires a somewhat different development approach. Our talented team of developers is proficient in taking advantage of the strong points of the iPad OS and, during iPad application development projects, avoiding those features that might not be suitable for a mobile environment.

We have a team of professionals specializing in iPad software development. We offer multiple services from just evaluation, to full iPad application development. During our work with different clients our company has acquired extensive skills and the background of OS X programming along with the use of underlying frameworks crucial for the creation of top notch iPad applications. While already having a great number of successfully performed projects and satisfied clients we can assure that you will fully appreciate the quality of our work.

Hiring our company is almost a guarantee that you will get a high-quality and highly useful mobile application right on time. Our approach to customers entails developing a clear understanding of their requirements thus allowing us to offer every client a professional iPad application development solution that will suit their unique requirements. Moreover, our dedicated team of developers, with their extensive technical expertise and practical knowledge, will deliver a long lasting solution that is functionally rich.

Our highly skilled iPad SDK developers are capable of developing iPad applications in many areas including the creation of:

Media Applications

Games / Entertainment Applications

Web Applications
